Mark Meadows Burned Papers After Trump Left Office

Former Aide's Testimony Adds to Evidence of Potential Wrongdoing

Harrington Stars as Sergeant II David Deacon Kay on SWAT

A former aide in Donald Trump's White House has testified that chief of staff Mark Meadows burned papers so often after the 2020 election that people joked about it in the office.

The aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, testified before the House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol that Meadows burned documents in his office fireplace at least twice after the election.

Hutchinson's testimony adds to a growing body of evidence suggesting that Trump and his aides may have engaged in illegal or unethical activity in an effort to overturn the results of the election.

Trump has denied any wrongdoing, but the House Select Committee is continuing to investigate the events leading up to the January 6 attack.

In other news, Jay Harrington, who played Mark Meadows on the TV show "Suits," now stars as Sergeant II David Deacon Kay on "SWAT."
