Former UEFA Champions League-winning manager Fabio Capello is set to make a sensational return to Italy to manage Serie A club Atalanta BC.
The 76-year-old Italian has been out of management since leaving Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Suning in 2021.
Capello has a wealth of experience in Serie A, having previously coached AC Milan, Juventus, and Inter Milan.
He led AC Milan to the Serie A title in 1993-94 and 1995-96, and Juventus to the title in 2004-05.
Capello also coached Real Madrid to the La Liga title in 2006-07.
Atalanta are currently third in Serie A, four points behind leaders Napoli.
They are aiming to win their first Serie A title in their history.
Capello's appointment is a major coup for Atalanta.
